Prism City: Gun for Hire & Heir to an Empire

In Prism City, everyone is tagged, their very existence documented data points. What they purchase, where they go, who they call. Every action they take is tied to their personal ID. Only those with social status have their own ID chip. Those without, are kept inline by something far more sinister, forced to serve those above them. The only escape from technology is in Old Quarter, an area outside city walls with its own laws. People run to Old Quarter for only one reason—they have something to hide.

Hank Campbell is an ex-cop who escaped Prism City after his wife went missing. He now lives in the tech-neutral zone known as Old Quarter which doesn’t abide by city laws. He scrapes by performing odd jobs and assisting in a smuggling ring moving people in and out of Prism City. He is noticed by the local mob when he smuggles a connected jazz singer out of Old Quarter.

Jezannah Andrell is the heir to the majority shares of Prism City’s most prominent data protection agency. She is being groomed by her father to take over as the company’s CEO. As a well reputed socialite, she isn’t known for taking life as seriously as is expected of her. During the annual Shareholder’s Gala, things turn deadly right before the public announcement of her succession.
